A Recap...

Tracy Cinte, a strong, beautiful, yet mysterious wealthy young South African woman living in the public eye as a beautiful socialite, famous for being the daughter of a globally powerful diamond magnate, hoaxes her own death with the help of the media in an effort to live her ideal life as a painter in Foxport, a centuries-old, picturesque place located in a secret location on Earth. Foxport becomes her place of hiding and a place to create a new identity for herself.

Shortly after she arrives in Foxport, Tracy learns from her handsome new boyfriend Cameron, that he is involved with Samantha, another young woman living in Foxport whom Tracy has heard a lot about. However, there is one other problem...

Tracy has also arrived in town with a dark suspecting secret. Tracy discovers that she is pregnant. The father, is a mysterious younger man with a bad reputation. The pregnancy was the result of an accidental sexual encounter the two had in New York. Tracy takes advantage of Cameron's emotional state regarding his unfaithfulness towards her, to let him in on her secret about being an expectant mother. Fearing a poor reaction from people in town about being pregnant by a man with a less than upstanding reputation, she explains to Cameron how important it is that he commit to being a father to her child and gets him to help plot to convince people in Foxport that her child is really theirs.

Another important Foxport resident, Trevor Williams, a bored, sheltered and naive preppy young loner desperately looking for love (no matter what), agrees to become a new test patient for his father, a brilliant scientific researcher known to all in Foxport as Professor Williams, who is currently conducting a radical experiment that he believes can explain the reason behind Beethoven's deafness. His passion is devoted to working at solving medical mysteries. However, a during confusing lab test, he accidentally infects his son Trevor with a contaminated DNA swab causing him to develop a painful and rare skin condition on his face that can sometimes be fatal.
Also, for weeks, Trevor has developed a large crush on Tracy.
After overhearing a conversation between Tracy and Cameron (about Cameron being engaged to Samantha), Trevor decides to make a move on Tracy...

Carey Waters and Samantha become the victims of a mysterious explosion and a small house fire. Luckily, Mark Summers, a rough and rugged young security officer in Foxport who also happens to be Carey's lover, comes to their rescue. We discover that Mark and Samantha are having some kind of secret intimate relationship on the side that Carey knows nothing about...
Samantha is Carey's stepdaughter.
Today...

Trevor realizes, as he gets dressed in his bedroom, that he really has an interest in Tracy as more than just a friend. Can there be some way of letting her know that? Trevor wonders.

While he buttons his shirt looking into the mirror, Trevor slips into another daydream...

Yes, his fantasies of french kissing Tracy passionately one day at the gallery when they are alone, and the other fantasy he keeps having of him and her in Mayberry Park under the Peace Bridge were unarguably growing deeper and harder for him to keep under control. Trevor knows that these feelings are more than a mere common fantasy of a young man with slightly older woman.

Yes, she was sexy and also very physically attractive. That could not be denied. There were also those times that Tracy had let him know in her body language and the way she spoke that made him know that she felt something for him...

Tracy was a Foxport outsider. She is very talented painter, but she is very different from him. Two things that turned him on. Even the way that she had deliberately ignored him sometimes he found wildly playful and amusing.

Still standing in front of the mirror, Trevor's thoughts flow into the one fantasy that keeps him coming back. The one where he is alone with Tracy in the gallery, in her office. She leans over the desk to kiss him. She asks him if he has feelings for her... She says that she wants to be much closer to him. More than friends.

Wait.

Trevor reminds himself that he is just going over to visit Tracy... or is this going to be the moment that he says to Tracy how he really feels about her? Being around Tracy is something that he both loves and fears. Is there a way that he can erase his fears and just open up to her finally? Perhaps being open about the way he feels towards her is fine. The worst that can happen is that Tracy can say "no". The only problem with that, is that she may want to distance herself from him now she knows how he feels, and that is really not something that Trevor wants. Trevor's greatest fear is to be alone. Is he making a mistake and reading into their relationship too much? Can Trevor's desires be overcome?

Suddenly there is a knock at the bedroom door.

Trevor's father sticks his head in.

"Hi Trevor, sorry to barge in on you like this but I was wondering if you have the test samples that you took with you to the park yesterday... I'm just working on something now that I could really use those park samples for... Do you have 'em?"

Trevor, thinks back to the day before... he collapsed... he remembers walking away.... he had the samples before he's collapsed... Damnit! Could the sensitive test samples still be laying under the tree where I collapsed in Mayberry Park?

Trevor panics.

"I was hoping you would ask that.... I never took any Dad. Just decided to take the day off yesterday really. I'm sorry. I can do that today if you like. It's Sunday. No one is usually in Mayberry Park - it'll be better for getting stuff done without all the distractions!" Trevor says, covering.

"OK, sooner rather than later would be excellent. Things are moving rather quickly with my research" says Professor Williams. "Just bring your samples directly to the lab downstairs when you come back in later. Thanks."

"OK" Trevor says.

"Oh, I'm going to be taking on another patient soon so I really won't have too much time to hang out with you..."

"OK. Dad. That's fine. I gotta get ready to go...." Trevor says thinking to himself: Why on earth would I want to be hanging out with my father?

After his father leaves, Trevor takes one more look in the mirror and notices that his skin is getting worse... It's getting red and pimply. It is like a rash that is spreading to his arms and legs...

*****

After brunch, the redhead returns to her bedroom and takes the lab sample out of the drawer.
She holds it in her hand for a moment...

"I'm not sure who this belongs to, but I will find out" she says to herself and then she throws it into the drawer again.

*****

Tracy explains to Cameron that she wants him to become the father to the child when it is born. Cameron agrees, but Cameron remains curious as to who the father is...

Cameron leaves Tracy's place. As he heads out to his car, he thinks about what Tracy has said upstairs, but he is distracted as he reaches into his pocket to get out his car keys, and finds the roll of film from earlier. He decides to drive directly to the post office to send the film away to get the pictures developed.

Tracy was pregnant, yes, but there was a lot of stuff that Cameron had never gotten a chance to mention about what he had seen in Mayberry Park.

As Cameron is on his way, he has a flashback about the many weird things had happened in the park the day before: The weather, the two girls in school uniforms who he had helped him in desperation-- they were clearly up to something more sinister than a simple walk home from school!

The most curious of them was: Who Trevor was being lead away by? Who was the man who appeared out of nowhere to Trevor's aid? Was there a mysterious hero living the park?

Little does Cameron know that the roll of film that he is getting developed belongs to the mystery cameraman...

Down the road...

Tracy's concern over Cameron's distance spending an increasing amount of time uncovering more about the mysterious photographer, causes her to reach out to a new friend for security and support...

Trevor makes a detour that changes his mind about Tracy on the way to her condo...

After Carey talks to Mark about their relationship she starts questioning whether his heart is in the right place. Concerned, Carey unknowingly turns to Samantha for some emotional support...

Tomorrow:
Someone new arrives in Foxport.

October 4, 2007

Trevor sits at his computer looking at various international news headlines.

He notices a story about The Billion Dollar Bride. As he reads more, he discovers that the woman in the photos is... Tracy?!

Why had she not told him about it?

Trevor does know that Foxport is a destination for the rich and wealthy. It certainly wasn't the first time nor the last that someone was going to fake their death and/ or disappearance and escape to Foxport to live a decent, peaceful life.

Why, though, had Tracy been secretive about the whole thing? Trevor was really her only friend in town.

What could be the reason? Was there something in Tracy's past that she's trying to keep secret from people in Foxport?

Trevor turns off his computer and decides to pay Tracy a little visit...

*****

Still reeling from the shock of confessing her pregnancy to Cameron, Tracy changes the subject...

"I had the strangest dream after I fell asleep when I got home from Mayberry yesterday."

"Really? Tell me..." Cameron says.

"Well, I was dreaming that I was here in the house and I got a call from Professor Williams, Trevor's father-"

"That's kind of the reason I here! Something happened today in the park after you left. I saw Trevor in the park laying unconscious and tried to get help. When I came back he was gone. I was lucky to have run into these two girls along the way who were able to help somewhat-"

"Oh my, that's so weird... Anyway, I was dreaming that he desperately wanted to talk to me about something and while I was waiting for him to arrive, there was a knock at the door from Jackie - my twin sister I told you about who died two years ago. She told be that my father had lied about a lot of stuff, and that people were coming to get me. She had a gun, she locked me in the bathroom and all of this weird stuff!" Tracy explains.

"Cameron, what are we going to do about this pregnancy?" Tracy continues. Changing the subject.

Cameron takes a seat on the bed and stretches out this hand for her to touch.

"Come here. Let's lay down." Cameron says. Calming her down.

*****

The redhead that Cameron had driven home from the park wakes up.

She quickly makes her way over to her desk drawer and checks on what she has found at the park the day before: a dead red ant laying in a laboratory sample. She is not sure what to make of it, but she decides to keep it. She closes the drawer.

She runs downstairs into the dinning room and joins her family for Sunday brunch...

"Strip Tease"

The news that Tracy is pregnant is a shock, and is something that Cameron Cassaro is not quite ready to hear. He has come over to discuss being engaged to another woman!

Where all this mess began, was really not something that Cameron was up to thinking about at the present moment. Clearly there were other more pressing issues besides their fight in Mayberry Park that they needed to talk about now. Breaking off a relationship is one thing, being pregnant is another more important matter.

Cameron barely has the time to think about things when, as he looks back up, he sees Tracy seated at her vanity dresser with the drawer open. She calls him over gently.

She holds the handle of the dresser drawer and opens it very, very slowly.

Inside are three home pregnancy test strips. All positives.

Cameron covers his mouth for a brief second before stepping back. He knows that if she is not ready for a baby, he certainly is not. He decides that he needs to tell her right away this fact. He needs to know who the child belongs to too. He knows that there is a bigger story behind the pregnancy. What was happening?

Cameron Cassaro is sure of one thing: the child Tracy is carrying is not his.

Tracy looks dead in the mirror. Cold, blank, expressionless.

*****
Carey walks down the upstairs hall to the rail landing over the winding staircase.
She yells out: "Mark I'm going to be upstairs taking a shower- oh, honey, you're not going to believe who just called! Anyway, get your little butt up here sooner rather than later. I want to see you babe."
In the living room, Samantha and Mark are quickly straightening themselves up. They can't let Carey know that they were making out.
"Is Samantha still there?" Carey yells out questioning.
Mark answers quickly, "Tes- sort of... she's just heading into the kitchen." Mark motions for Samantha to leave the room.
"OK, well tell her good night and tell her we'll finish taking about what we started to yesterday later. I would say later today but I have a feeling that we'll all be getting up some time late this afternoon. Gosh what a day - a bomb blast and a fire- Whew!"
Mark yells back: "OK, I'll by up in a minute... I just want to make sure things are OK here first. How are you feeling anyway? Are you bruised up at all?" Mark asks.
"Carey never bruises babe!" Carey exclaims and walks back down the hallway.
Mark, not so sure says: "OK, I'll bring up something from the kitchen for you on my way up, that will heal those bruises in no time at all."
*****
Trevor makes his way back upstairs and can't stop thinking about Tracy... He's fantasizing about her again.
Now in his bedroom, he looks in the mirror and realizes that the mistake that his father made in the lab was really for the best.
As Trevor looks harder at himself in the mirror, Trevor now knows that God has made the mistake happen for a reason. The lab mix-up was accelerating a process long over due anyway, Trevor can now see for what it is.
Trevor is finally going to become the person who he'd always known he could never become. He would have to be ready for the transition but would everyone else in Foxport be?

"Highs and Lows"

The sun has begun to rise in Foxport. It has been a sleepless night for everyone so far.

*****

Trevor decides to get an early start on the day. After all, he can't sleep in his condition. In the kitchen he runs into his father, Professor Williams, pouring a cup of coffee. Apparently, he too has had a sleepless night.

Trevor and him make eyes briefly.

Trevor is the first to speak-

"Dad, listen I just want you to know that no matter what happens, I'll always love you as a father and I'm willing to accept the mistakes that have happened." Trevor pauses. "I'm willing to live with your mistake", Trevor confesses.

Professor Williams takes a deep sigh and gulps down a huge sip of hot coffee before exiting the kitchen.

Trevor turns to the window and reflects on the weightiness of what is happening.

*****

Tracy looks out of her bedroom window reflecting on the last 24 hours.

Cameron enters the room behind her. He notices the clock on the floor and the destroyed painting. The room is a mess he remarks to himself.

"What happened in here?" Cameron asks.

Tracy continues to look out the window. She ties her robe tighter and gently touches her stomach. Cameron doesn't know. Not yet.

Tracy turns around and faces Cameron.

"Look, I think it's best that we leave things where we left them in the park yesterday. I don't think this is really something that I want to be getting into right now... I love you I have shared the same bed with you and honestly what's happening right now it too much for me."

Cameron takes a step closer... He can tell that there is something more going on.

Tracy says, "Cameron, I'm pregnant."

*****

Back at Carey's mansion it's been another sleepless night, Samantha is helping Mark clear the living room.

Carey is now upstairs in her bedroom taking the call.

Samantha tells Mark that she would rather they keep things quiet about what happened the night before. They think that Carey will be upset by the news, if she were to be told by either of them.

Mark kisses Samantha on the lips. The kiss grows more passionate. He opens her blouse. Lust overcomes him. He knows that Carey is upstairs but he feels things can be quick enough with Samantha. One kiss.

We can do this right here in the living room if we are quick enough, Mark realizes.

Nothing in Samantha's body question's Marks move. She's encouraging him to move fast and quick.

Samantha closes her eyes and breathes out a sigh of release as Mark towers over her on the carpet and presses his body into hers. The rumble on the floor gets caught in their clothes; it goes unnoticed...

They both want one thing: each other. Now.

"Waking Fantasy"

Tracy wakes up. Tracy knows the clock is right:
4:00 AM.

Still laying down on the floor in her bedroom in front of the bed, she is shocked when she looks over to discover that she has a pair of scissors in her hand and her new painting lays on the floor in a million pieces.

This painting is for Cameron, she remembers... Why is it ruined? Why? ...

As Tracy gets up, there's a knock at the door.

Tracy is still trying to collect her thoughts: Did I fall asleep here?, she tries to remember. Immediately she has a flashback and recalls the strange nightmare last night. The nightmare with her dead twin sister Jackie, coming back from the dead to visit her in Foxport and later assuming her identity, the gun blast that nearly killed her, and Professor Williams. Weird and scary and creepy. Tracy realizes that she still cannot forget the day that she learned Jackie died two years ago. Tracy missed her sister.

Finally, Tracy now remembers how she ended up on the floor. It all began the day before. Mayberry Park. Cameron and her, walking and talking, under the Peace Bridge. Then.. then... he says it to her. Cameron says he is engaged to Samantha Lumari-Waters: the other beautiful debutante in Foxport. Tracy has never met Samantha but has heard so much about her from Carey Waters, Samantha's stepmother.

Tracy had raced out of Mayberry Park and come home in a rage and destroyed her painting that meant a lot to her. A lot about her realtionship with Cameron. She had set the kettle and while waiting for the water to boil, she must have fallen asleep...

How did I find myself in this situation?, Tracy thinks. She knows that she loves Cameron deeply - but loving a man who is engaged to another woman is taboo!

Everything with Cameron had all really started in the condo elevator lift where she had met him weeks ago. She had started to notice him in the elevator. Most times they had ridden the ride up alone. She got off after him. Always. Some times there was someone in the elevator, but they always shared a moment on the ride. Each time her body shifted with curiosity when glancing briefly at his body there. His eyes always followed her as she moved to the side of the elevator after she had pressed her floor. Tracy noticed that he was always in a grey one-button suit. Formal, yes, but still so relaxed and casual at the same time. Where was he coming from? Where was he going? She always wondered.

Cameron had the kind of body that most girls like. His clothes were never tight, but they showed his body well and fitted and displayed well his physique. Casual eye contact was different too she noted because it was enhanced by his warm golden caramel complexion. She wanted to touch him, but she was afraid of what it might lead to. She had to remain focused and remember that she was in Foxport for a reason: to work at the art gallery and manage a low-key life. Simple? Not quite.

All that was questioned when they made casual elevator-eyes those first few times in the lift. It was normal and unassuming at first, but grew into something much much more. Into something unlike anything that she ever had experienced before. She wasn't imagining what she saw when she looked into his soul through his eyes. His eyes were steady but were also very desirous, very dangerous too and a bit dirty. She could tell he was looking for something physical from a woman. She also knew that she wasn't his type... but maybe, she thought. Just maybe.

Tracy wasn't the type to get all 19th-century "lonely", but the recent media coverage, the work on her thesis project and all the recent pressures of her father had made her into a zombie these last few months. Tracy needed to rest. She thought she could swallow all the confusion in her life by painting. All the work that she had put into that latest oil painting, now lay before her on on the floor. Ruined.

Tracy wanted and needed some time to relax. R & R with someone would have be nice. Not necessary.

That's when it happened. Cameron returned a set of keys to the wrong door one morning. Hers. Tracy had her chance. She could look at him and effortlessly show him what her true soul wanted right now simply by moving her eyes. Naturally. She new her eyes were her strongest feature. At least that's what most guys had said to her growing up. She never moved her eyes in a way to entice guys intentionally, they just did. She had an innocence about her that also made her look sexy in a mature way that guys always liked. As she'd entered her 20's, younger guys in there late teen always liked how she was older but had an innocent look that was still strong on at the same time. That's the kind of girl she was.

Knock. That knock at the door.

It's Cameron. She knows it. She cleans up quickly, throws on her silk night robe and heads out to the front door.

Cameron is on the outside. He is leaning up against the door with his arm bracing up against the top half of the door with his head hanging, eyes half-closed. Sweaty. His head bobs up to listen every time he knocks.

Tracy opens up the door. Cameron stands there like he always does: firm, muscular, fit, eyes piercing. His expression always says that he wants more. Tracy hates that... Sort of.

They look at each other directly in the eyes.

She tightens the belt on her blue silk robe. Yes, she knows what he wants, but, she also knows what she wants too.

He takes a step back, takes a deep breath and puts his hands on his waist. Still panting.

"Looks like you were having a bad nightmare or something..." Cameron says.

Cameron knows what's happening.

*****

Trevor wakes ups again for the third time during the night and heads straight to the mirror. He can tell that his skin is not right.

The cotton swab his father used to take a DNA sample from him in the morning was contaminated. That is why he had those strange reactions in the park earlier. Trevor simply knew that there was going to be serious consequences from the mix-up. How severe would the transformation be? It would take more time to discover that. Trevor was going to change in the process there was absolutely no question about that.

Yes, Trevor knew a lot about modern science. The huge DNA discoveries that had taken place in the last few months in Germany were changing the world, but something like what was happening with him right now, was more science on the fringes of The New Modern Medicine. No one was daring enough to do what his father had. His father was really experimenting with something that really no one in the world should do. Not even within the strict and isolated environment of Foxport-- normally perfect for all kinds of new discoveries.

Trevor realises that he has to be fully ready for the result of his father's mistake. He realizes that he has to be fully ready to become someone else in the next while. Someone entirely new.

*****

Carey is interrupted by the phone as she waits for Mark and Samantha to explain what happened the night before.

Mark had aways liked the company of women. When he met Samantha last night, it was, exactly that he'd wanted. Something that just happened. Almost accidentally. There was no possible way that he was going to tell Carey the truth. The truth was really what happened.

Thank goodness the phone interrupted a nervous situation.

As Carey heads to the phone near the back of the living room, Samantha looks Mark in the eyes. They smile. They have shared something very special. Carey can never know what they did. Not ever. It would be the ultimate betrayal.

Tracy's sister Jackie is still in the hallway laughing hysterically after firing her revolver into the door handle to unjam the bathroom door.

Inside the bathroom, Tracy lays motionless and terrified.

"Open up sis..." Jackie beckons.

Tracy puts together her energy and pulls open the door.

Jackie takes a step into the bathroom and drags Tracy across the hallway into the bedroom.

Jackie sits down on the bed and says, "Look sis, I'm really sorry that I had to do this but... you just can't be doing what you're doing, OK?"

Tracy, lays fully awake on the floor and listens carefully - after all, she does not want to piss her "dead" sister off.

Jackie continues, "I'm sorry. I just wanted to let you know that I can't let you out there. Not now. The media is on to Dad. For godssakes Tracy! Look at what happened with me! They didn't even want you to know that your sister is alive. Doesn't that tell you that something is seriously wrong? Look at this place your living in. Foxport. Foxport?! What the hell is Foxport!..."

I'm not sure if you realize, but we need to protect ourselves from the dangers of the land! You know how I got here? By boat! The planes are coming! The planes are coming- your fans are all going to find out that you lied about your own death and when they do... you'll be really in deep you-know-what! Don't say I didn't caution you if things don't turn out as they should sis. I've got your back. I'm not letting you out of here no matter what!" Jackie instructs.

Tracy sits up and makes sure her sister knows that she's listening.

"Mark my words.. you're not leaving here." Jackie says creepily.

*****
In Carey's mansion, Mark makes his way to the living room to inspect the damage from the blast. He cannot seem to think of what it might have been that caused the damage.
Carey and Samantha look on curiously.
"Look Mark, I don't know what we would have done if you weren't here!" Carey says.
She pauses and looks around at Samantha.
"Which brings me to ask you what are you doing here? Not that I mind because you saved my life and Samantha's. How did you get in the house?" Carey questions politely.
Over Carey's shoulder Samantha gives Mark the look.
Mark and Samantha are caught off-guard.
*****
As Cameron pulls up to the home of one of the school girls, he's struck by how warm the car feels. He is trying to adjust the cool air, but it doesn't seem to be working that well.
"OK, this is it." he says looking back into the mirror. "I want to thank you guys for helping me- I don't know really what that was all about! I don't even know the guy all that well, because he works with someone I know... Anyway, thanks again."
The redhead gives him the look before the two girls run up the stairs off into the house.
Cameron feels a bead of sweat fall from his chin. Man it's hot, he remarks to himself, before speeding off.
He needs to make one more stop, he realizes, and he makes a sharp turn.
*****
Trevor races into the bright white basement to see if his father, Professor Williams is there. As he arrives in the lab he is shocked to see most of his father's equipment missing. Just as Trevor begins to walk out, his father bursts into the doorway.
"Trevor!" he says. "I'm so glad you are here. Listen to me." he says.
Trevor takes a seat on one of the high chairs, he can sense a lecture. But something is different in his father's tone.
"I need you to know that the swab sample that I took from you this morning. It wasn't clean. There may have been a mix-up in the lab... I think you might be infected."
Trevor can't believe what his father is saying and he runs into the washroom to confirm his worst nightmare...
As Trevor looks into the mirror, terrified, he can tell that his skin is turning colour! (From olive to a tan brown colour).
Trevor realizes that it can only mean one thing...

"Moving on"

Just outside the black iron gate lining the entrance way to Mayberry Park, Trevor is scared beyond belief about getting into the mystery cameraman's car, but he realizes that he needs to get home quickly. He is not feeling well and his father is the only one who knows why. I've collapsed two times for no good reason and I need to find out more from my father about what is going on with The Beethoven Experiment!, Trevor thinks.

"Hey, I'm really glad that you are OK now." says the mysterious cameraman...

Behind them, outside, Cameron races towards toward the parked car on foot and hopes that he can stop Trevor from getting into more trouble. He gets very close just as the mysterious cameraman pulls away with Trevor inside-

"Wait!" Cameron yells.

Seconds later, the two school girls catch up to Cameron....

Inside the car, Trevor is breathing heavily and he is leaning his head back on the seat's headrest with his eyes closed. He is very exhausted.

"I'm really sorry about doing this but I can't help you for very long- are you going to be OK, when you get home? Do you live alone?" he says.

Trevor replies, "No, I'll be alright. I'm going to talk to my father about what's going on at home... what is happening.... OK, yes, I'll be OK, just get me home", Trevor barely gets the words out of his mouth. He manages to lean his head over to look at the mystery man, but his baseball hat is too low over his face for Trevor to get a good look him.

Back near the park, Cameron is running towards his own car with the two girls in tow. He stops short realizing that he can't catch up. He makes a mental note of what the car looked like.

He thanks the two girls for their help, but says that he'll have to let it go- he'll have to tell Tracy, his girlfriend what he's seen happen to Trevor, her co-worker. She might know what's going on, Cameron thinks.

Cameron asks them if they need a ride home. They agree. As he opens the door for both of them, on his way back around to the driver's side, Cameron steps into a puddle of water running along the curb; the sewer system in Foxport has become backed up.

As he looks down to see the damage done to his shoe, he sees a roll of film wedged into the crease in the roadway. Curiosity gets the better of him, and Cameron picks it up and throws it into his pocket.

He hops into the car. "OK." he says. "Let's go!".

Both girls in the backseat smile and look at each other.

The redhead puts her hand over her chest adjusting what she found back in the park under the tree- she's stuck into her brazier.

*****

Samantha wonders what she's going to tell her stepmother about what happened the night before with Mark Summers. After all, she did know that Mark Summers was in the house last night, but why couldn't be she tell Carey the truth about what happened?

Inside the kitchen, Mark is successful at putting out the fire. He glances outside the window and looks at Carey and Samantha both. Both women smile... for different reasons.

Mark waves both of them back into the house.

*****

Jackie shuts the front door and quickly removes Tracy's wig. She races into the living room and grabs her purse. She reaches into it, grabs a revolver and proceeds down the hallway toward the bathroom. Tracy is still out cold. She is crouched in the fetal position on the floor in the corner of the bathroom.

Jackie attempts to open the door from outside; the lock is jammed.

"Tracy!!!" Jackie screams. "Open the door please."

Tracy barely moves.

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! Jackie blasts three bullets through the bathroom door, barely missing Tracy's head.

Jackie starts laughing in the dark hallway outside the bathroom. She's got ill-will on her mind.

Welcome to Foxport.

"A rose is not just a rose in... Foxport."

So far -

It's been an unusual day in Foxport. The morning saw heavy rainfall. There is hardly ever rain in Foxport- at least not for the last forty years anyway!

Nearing nightfall, much has happened to Cameron, Tracy, Carey and Trevor throughout the day:

Just after receiving the news about her boyfriend being engaged to another woman, Tracy's estranged fraternal twin sister, Jackie, mysteriously appears at her front door and later locks her in her own bathroom! Jackie strangely assumes Tracy's identity by putting on her wig and makeup. When Professor Williams comes to the door, Jackie fiends Tracy's persona...

(In the photos: Tracy, on right, twin sister Jackie, on left)

Cameron returns to the tree in Mayberry Park where he discovered Trevor laying unconscious, only to see him missing!

The mysterious man taking photos of people in town is now in the park and he comes to the aid of Trevor who has managed to stumble away from the tree but collapsed again a short distance away in a small roadway leading away from the park. On the way to assist Trevor, the cameraman's camera falls, which causes the film case to open and the film cartridge to pop out. As he reaches out to grab it, the film quickly rolls off away into a sewer grate at the side of the road.

Carey discovers that her stepdaughter Samantha and her aren't the only people in her mansion. After desperately trying to wake Samantha, who has become unconscious after a bomb-like blast came through her living room window, Carey hears a cry from Mark Summers, who was hiding in the basement to surprise Carey back from her vacation the night before. He is calling out now from inside the kitchen, desperately trying to swat out a growing stove top fire. Carey drags the still unconscious Samantha out of the house to safety on the front lawn.

*****

Today -

Tracy manages to get closer to the bathroom door to listen to what her sister is saying to Professor Williams outside in the living room. Tracy realizes as she reaches up to open the door, that the lock is jammed-

Before Professor Williams has a chance to start talking, Jackie interrupts-

"Look, Professor I want to talk to you about something" Jackie gets a twinkle in her eye. "I've been having some problems.. some issues. I'm new here, as you know, and I really need someone to talk to. I've just learned some shocking news and I need someone to talk to. Is there any way that I can start seeing you as a therapy patient?"

"Yes! Yes, of course." he replies with enthusiasm.

Jackie starts to "cry". She hooks him into what she's saying. "I... I.. can't talk to you about this right now- and I was hoping that we could talk tomorrow, today's been a really hard day for me." She says looking down, trailing off...

Professor Williams promptly puts down his glass and makes his way to the front door. Jackie takes a look down the hallway back towards the washroom - Tracy is still in there. Good. Jackie thinks. As they get to the door, Jackie stops Professor Williams:

"I want to thank you for coming. I'll talk to you about it all tomorrow..." Jackie gives him a soft wet kiss on the lips.

Listening from inside her bathroom, Tracy is overwhelmed with shock and she decides not to make a noise- what on earth is my sister doing here and why is she pretending to me?!, Tracy wonders. She is exhausted, and she passes out crouched in the corner behind the bathroom door.

The man with the camera walks over to Trevor and turns him over. He makes sure that no one can see him either. He takes his ball cap off and puts it on. Then Trevor wakes up and says:

"Help... there's someone after me."

"Who?" the cameraman says.

"Not sure." Trevor mumbles.

"Here, come on... let me get you up, and take you home."

Trevor stands up and the two walk over to the cameraman's small red car a short distance away.

In the distance, Cameron can barely see them... He can see Trevor, but he wonders who the man with the camera is.

"Hold on" Cameron says to the young girls. He races over to Trevor and the mystery man.

"Wait! Where are you taking him? Who are you!?" Cameron shouts out after them.

Carey, is outside with Samantha on the front lawn. Samantha is now awake. Carey is looking towards the kitchen window from the driveway.

"What just happened?" Samantha asks.

"I'm not sure, but something came through the window when we were just talking babe- some kind of a blast. There's a fire in the kitchen right now, too! Oh my God... what is happening?! Mark Summers is in there now trying to put it out- I had no idea that he was in the house last night... did you???"

Pause.

Samantha freezes, dead cold. She's been caught-

"Chaos, Chaos, Chaos..."

Mayberry Park.

As Cameron returns to the scene under the tree where he remembers leaving Trevor, he is concerned when he discovers that Trevor is no longer laying there. The two girls search the area nearby. Nothing.

"I'm sorry girls. I left him right here. I don't know what happened to him!" Cameron says concerned.

The girls look puzzled.

One girl, (the redhead who hiked up her skirt on the way to the park) notices something just under the tree on her way back to where Cameron is. "Oh my God, look at this!" she yells as she walks over to pick it up...

Not far off, the mysterious cameraman notices Trevor collapse on the road leading away from the park just outside the gates. He quickly hurries over but is very cautious to make sure that no one nearby sees him approach. As he does approach he drops his camera causing the casing to pop open. The film rolls away and into the sewage drain. He decides to ignore it and he moves on to assist Trevor who is in really bad shape.

Carey's Mansion.
Mark Summers yells out to Carey.

Carey from the living room can hear something but isn't sure what it is. She slowly gets up and makes her way over to the kitchen where to her shock she sees puffs of smoke billowing out of the kitchen.

"Carey- it's Mark. I'm in the kitchen! Get out of the house please. Right now. Get out!"

Carey is confused to hear Mark inside the house because she doesn't know that there is anyone else in the house quickly races back into the living room where she finds Samantha. Carey grabs Samantha and drags her through the room towards the front door.

"Mark, I've got Samantha here honey... I'll get us both outside safely." Carey screams in horror as she turns the handle on the front door to escape the fire.

As she gets outside, Samantha begins breathing again.

"Come on Sam honey..." Carey pleads. "We gonna be fine."

Last Week on "Map of the World"

Carey and Samantha become the victims of a mysterious vandal who hurls a blunt object through Carey's living room window while they discussed Samantha's suspicions of Cameron's cheating on her with another woman. In the aftermath of the blast, Samantha has been left unconscious. Whilst Carey slowly comes to, she is not aware that there has been a fire growing on the stove in her kitchen just before the blast...

While walking through the park, Tracy learns from Cameron himself that he has been seeing Samantha and has been engaged to her for a short while. News to Tracy, as she believed Cameron to be with her exclusively. An emotional wreak, she races home alone enraged and destroys her most recent painting which she had planned to give Cameron as a birthday gift. Tracy herself has a secret, but decided not to tell Cameron. It's a secret that can't be kept long.

Then, Tracy receives an urgent call from Trevor's father requesting to pay her a visit. (Trevor is a new friend of Tracy's, working with her at the small art gallery nearby) She is somewhat off-put by his request as she does not know his father all that well. Whilst waiting for him to arrive, Tracy receives a visit from her fraternal twin sister Jackie. Tracy is completely shocked to see Jackie because Tracy's father had told her that she had drown in a boating accident two years earlier when away at boarding school. Although Tracy herself has just staged her own death, with the help of her father and the international news media, she is overwhelmed with shock and collapses in the living room with Jackie by her side...

In the same park earlier conducting research for his father, Trevor overheard the argument between Cameron and Tracy and decided to move in closer to get a better listen. When he sees Tracy come into his view, he ducks, hoping to remain just an eavesdropper. As he moves to gain cover, Trevor starts to feel a sharp pain in his hand that causes him to yell out loud and blow his own cover. The pain is strong enough to cause Trevor to faint.

Cameron hears the cry of pain in the distance and he makes his way over to the sound to deliver help. Cameron decides to pull his pocket knife for his own protection. As he gets closer, Cameron is shocked to to see Trevor laying unconscious under a tree. Cameron drops the knife and runs to get help. On the way, he meets two young schoolgirls who are willing to assist him in finding help, or so he thinks...

While all of this was happening in the park, a mysterious man with a camera has been taking pictures of what has been happening and watching the whole story unfold from atop a high hill some distance away from it all. As Cameron leaves the scene to search for help, the cameraman makes his way over to Trevor to get a photo of him. However, the cameraman doesn't notice Trevor suddenly come to and start to make his way out of Mayberry Park as he looks around to make sure that he can't be seen. Trevor, still dazed, doesn't notice that he's left his lab samples under the tree in the grass. Not good, as the mysterious cameraman is bound to find the samples....

Who is he and why is he taking pictures? What would he do with the samples if he had them for himself?!

"Double Trouble"

Jackie attempts to catch Tracy as she collapses, but looses her grip when she's startled by a knock at the front door. Tracy hits her head directly on the ivory marble floor. Crack-

"Hello, Tracy! It's me Professor Williams! Sorry to bug ya like this. It'll only take a minute- I'm really sorry about coming over like this- I know it's getting quite late. I've got to be back for supper soon anyway myself...." He says from outside the door.

Tracy's gargles "Ugh..", and then she lapses out again. Jackie quickly slaps her hand over Tracy's mouth and whispers, "Keep it quiet sis-"

"Coming!" Jackie yells back towards the door.

Jackie drags Tracy along the floor down the hallway, trying to remain quiet as she moves past the front door. She enters the bathroom with lifeless Tracy and puts her into the bathtub and removes Tracy's wig so harshly, she rips out some of Tracy's real hair.

Then, looking crazily serious in the mirror over the sink nearby, Jackie puts on Tracy's wig herself. She then quickly grabs some of Tracy's lipstick off the counter and gently applies some.

Carefully she proceeds to lock the bathroom door from the inside and then walks out to the front door. She takes one last look in the mirror by the door. She smirks to herself thinking This better work!

Jackie slowly opens up the front door.

"Hi, Professor Williams." Jackie says.

Looking down, the professor says, "Hi Tracy, I'm really sorry to have done this- it's just that there's something weird that's come up unexpectedly and I wanted to share things with you. It's about my son Trevor who I understand gets along quite well with you. I hope you don't mind me calling like this. I request that Trevor give me his friends' phone numbers! Call me crazy that's just the way I like to operate my home."

"OK, sure. Come on in." Jackie says as she ushers the bumbling professor into the living room. She glances down the hall towards the bathroom. The coast is clear.

"Have a seat. Can I get you something to drink?" Jackie says walking away as Professor Williams takes a seat.

"Oh, sure, anything to take the cool off of this killer headache I've got! I think global warming is to blame for the weird weather that we've been having over here in this part of the world. Did you notice the rain today? Foxport hasn't had heavy rain like we've had today in over forty years...!" he mumbles.

"Can you tell me what's going on Professor?" Jackie says as she walks back out into the living room with a small glass on scotch on ice. She sits down next to the professor on the sofa.

"Oh, just John please, thanks. Yes. Well, it's about-" the professor finally looks up and quickly notices a framed picture of Tracy and Jackie on the table behind the sofa, next to Jackie's head.

Jackie notices his eyes diverted and looks around and panics. She grabs the photo and looks at it, shielding it from his eyes..

Quickly covering, she says: "What? I look good there don't I? That's what everyone always says... It's because that's when I was happiest. That's my sister. She died two years ago... I'm moving on. It's taken a while. She was wonderful. Life." Jackie confirms.

Professor Williams takes a large sip of his beverage and smiles at her with empathy.

Inside the bathroom, Tracy lays out in the bathtub unable to get up. She can't seem to speak either, but she can hear every lying word that her sister speaks down her own hallway!

At Carey's mansion:

The fire in the kitchen has engulfed the entire room. Billows of smoke start to seep through the swinging door's seams.

Mark Summers who is just waking up comes up from the basement to see the fire in the kitchen. His plan was to surprise Carey in the morning, by hiding in the basement. Some surprise, he thinks. He does not have any idea what's happening in Carey's living room.

Mark yells for Carey, as he frantically swats the fire to try and quell the flames.

The trouble growing at Carey Waters' mansion gets worse.

The scene in the living room is a disaster....

Carey lets the phone ring out. She realises she can't get up in the state that she's in. Whoever it is, is going to have to wait, she decides. My stepdaughter is dead!- the gravity of that possibility hits Carey like a ton of bricks.

Inside the kitchen...

The small fire is rapidly growing . The pot's handle melts off and falls to the floor, catching fire with the mat in front of the stove.

Inside the living room...

"Wake up! Sam!" Carey shakes Sam. Desperate to have her stepdaughter wake up after the blast came through her front window. Surely it wasn't gunfire. No one is allowed to own a gun in Foxport.... except Mark. Mark Summers.

Carey begins to wonder why the young man who is supposed to be protecting the community would be firing something through her front window? Carey is worried. Worried for one other reason as well: Mark Summers is also her secret lover.

Samantha begins coughing rapidly. "Ca..rey."

"Hang on sweety. Don't worry O.K. Don't worry. I'm here." Carey cries out.

Samantha passes out completely.

*****

Tracy is shocked to see Jackie standing in front of her when she opens the front door.

"What are you doing here?" Tracy says.

"Look Tracy, this will only take a second." Jackie says barging past Tracy and entering the condo. "I know that you're probably wondering what I'm doing here. Your sister who is supposed to be dead. Well, as you can see, I'm not dead."

Tracy isn't sure what to think. She locks the door and follows her sister into the condo.

"I need to talk to you. I've read about all the press coverage that Dad has been giving the media, and the rest of the world about your... death. I want you to know that there are some people out there who know the truth. Tracy if you're not careful, someone out there, in the real world, is going to find you, and find out where Foxport really is."

Tracy panics. What is her fraternal twin sister who died years ago doing standing in front of her in... Foxport!?

Tracy looses her breath and faints.

"Blast from the Past!"

Moments before the "bullets" enter through Carey's living room, a small fire starts to blaze from a silver pot on the stove in the kitchen. Carey has forgotten to turn the stove off...

Inside the living room, is another scene. Dirt and dust hang over the room. The sun has finally come out again. A soft golden glow, lights up everything in the room.

RING! The telephone starts to ring-

Carey, laying flat on the floor, wakes up, hears the ring and looks up at Samantha sitting lifeless on the sofa. Carey turns to the window and sees the damage. As she looks closer, she realizes: Those aren't bullet holes...

But, if the aren't bullet holes, what are they?

******

Cameron heads out onto the main road to find help for the suspiciously unconscious Trevor. He feels lucky when he runs into two young girls, one a redhead, the other a short-haired brunette, decked out in school uniforms. He sees them stop talking, and then wink at him as he approaches. He isn't in the mood. Someone is hurt, Cameron thinks. He stops them as they come closer-

"I need your help" Cameron states.

OK, the girls reply.

"Follow me this way", Cameron instructs.

As the girls hustle to keep pace, Ally, the redhead, looks behind and then quickly hikes up her skirt.

Apparently, she has something else on her mind...

*****

Back in the park, the mysterious cameraman walks closer to where he saw Trevor laying unconsious moments before Cameron left. He moves in closer to take another photograph... But-

Off in the distance, still under the tree, Trevor suddenly comes to.

Where am I?, he thinks.

He gets up slowly stumbling away. However, he does not notice that he has left the test samples he has taken sitting open on the grass under the tree.

A large red ant crawls onto the petrie dish...

*****

Tracy looks at the damage that she caused to her painting in her fit of rage over learning about Cameron's relationship with Samantha.

"Wheeeee!"Tracy runs to the whistling kettle. She prepares the cup of tea and tries and relax. Then, the telephone rings...
"Hello?" Tracy says-- answering the telephone.

"Hi Tracy? It's me Professor Williams, Trevor's father."

"Hello. Yes. How are you?"

He says, "I'm fine." He reconsiders, "No actually I was wondering... Do you have some time?"

"Sure. What is it? Are you OK?"

"Yes. Look I need to talk to you. I'll be over there in 5 minutes."

"Fine. Sure." Tracy says before hanging up the phone.

What on earth could he want? Tracy pauses for a moment. That's strange!

Just as she is about to sit down with a book to kill the time for Professor Williams to show up, there's a startlingly knock at the door-

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Who could that be? Tracy questions herself, and then she moves over to the door to open it-

"Jackie?!" Tracy says... Tracy's sister is at the door.
Only trouble is, Tracy's sister has been "dead" for two years.

"All the Colours of the Rainbow"

It can't be true!

Tracy slams her bedroom door shut. All the pain she feels bursts out in a scream that even she can't describe. She runs over to the corner of the room. She stops in front of her most recent painting. She stares at it long and hard...

Suddenly, in a crazy outburst, she takes the pair of scissors off the windowsill and slashes holes into it repeatedly. Her face is soaking wet with tears. Oil paints go flying all over the floor - splashing red, green, gold, blue, purple and silver. A rainbow of colour stains the white shag carpet. She falls to her knees and begins crying really hard.

Could this really me happening to me? Tracy thinks.

Tracy screams: "Nooooooooo!". She falls down completely now falling into some of the paint.

*****

Now in the living room, Samantha continues to tell Carey (her stepmother) her suspicions of Cameron.

"Carey, I don't know what to think! I'm just so sure of it. I know that Cameron is cheating."

Carey hesitantly responds. "I don't know. I know, and I said that things might not be too easy for you getting engaged. I only said that because I too was engaged to a boy I really liked and -"

BANG! BANG! several rounds of gunfire come through the front window-

"Oh my God!" Carey screams.

*****

Back in the park, Trevor is now down on the ground, completely passed out from the pain.

Cameron approaches from around the tree with his hand extended holding a knife. He's surprised to see.... Trevor? laying there. That's Tracy's co-worker... he remembers.

Cameron quickly drops the knife.

As Cameron looks over Trevor to see what's wrong, he is confused because Trevor looks nothing like the guy who he has seen in photographs that Tracy has shown him. His face looks normal, but his skin looks very unusual.

Cameron runs to get help.

A bead of white foam bubbles to the surface of Trevor's lip. His eyes are rolling into the back of his head!

"Bridge over Troubled Water"

The rain in Foxport has completely calmed down. For now..

*****

Peacefully collecting lab samples of tree bark alone on a secluded grassy knoll, Trevor, fantasizes about kissing Tracy again...

He snaps out of his trance and is brought back to reality by sounds of two people arguing coming from under the Peace Bridge nearby. Trevor tries to stay quiet as he moves in closer trying to get a better listen... but, who is that?... it sounds like... Tracy?! ... Trevor thinks.

Then- dead silence. Trevor can hear the small waterfall nearby grow louder loudly drowning out the silence...

Down below, the echo of Tracy's voice is now clearly heard at the opening of the bridge tunnel-

Cameron, now turned around, is frozen. He doesn't know what to say... he is speechless.

"What?..." followed by a long emotional pause. "You're seeing Samantha?", Tracy demands from him. A tear falls off her cheek.

Cameron wants to look up and say something, but he can't. Tracy looks away and takes a step backwards. She runs out from under the bridge. Cameron races after her, but stops short as he nears the opening- it's begun to rain again.

The spying Trevor ducks out of Tracy's view and flips up his hood.

"Wait, please", Cameron calls angrily. "If I don't tell her by tomorrow, we can call off everything Tracy! Tracy! Just wait! Tracy, please." Cameron whimpers.

It's too late... Tracy's now a mere spec far off in the distance...

Trevor, still hidden, is trying to make sense of what is happening. He turns around: What just happened?. Off in the distance, over Trevor's back, is Cameron, still looking off towards Tracy.

Way, way, off in the distance, up high, the-mysterious-man-with-the camera appears again- unnoticed. He is behind a bush on a hill near the park gate. He snaps another shot of everyone: Cameron, Tracy and Trevor. Then his camera runs out of film and the auto rewind starts buzzing...

Trevor begins to feel something weird on his hand. An unusually sharp itching pain. He scratches it away- but then it sharply returns-

"Argggh!" Trevor screeches in pain. What on earth is that?! Trevor starts wondering what could that be? That sharp pain again! He clutches his hand near tears-

Cameron glances around toward the noise.

Trevor tucks in closer behind a tree.

Cameron swears he hears something so he begins to make his way closer to it.

Trevor, feels an increase of pain as he puts his hand over his mouth to silence himself- he can't let anyone know that he's there! Trevor is too much in pain to hear the Cameron approaching from behind!

The mysterious camera man, reloads his camera, and takes another shot of the 'new' scene: this time a shot of Cameron approaching Trevor from behind. From this angle, it looks like there is something sharp and shiny in Cameron's hand. Is that a knife?

"Weird Science"

It is a strange morning in Foxport. The sky is grey with a heavy rainfall. There is hardly ever rain in Foxport...

*****

When Trevor wakes up hearing the rain hit his bedroom window, he is shocked to see his father, Professor John Williams standing out of breath at his bedside. "Dad." Trevor says, weirded out...
"Trevor, I'm so sorry to have woken you like this, but there's something you urgently need to know."
Trevor says, "OK, sure. That is it?". John motions for Trevor to move over, and Trevor slides up to sit resting his back on the headboard. John whispers, "OK, I have got an experiment I'd like your help with.... I have discovered what I think top scientists from all over the world have been working on solving for centuries... Just now, right now, downstairs in the basement!"
Trevor sighs. He is sure his father was making some kind of mistake. "OK. So...." Trevor sighs again, playing along-- thinking it could help him figure out what the real reason his father has come to see him is.
"I'll need to take some DNA samples from you to bring back with me to the lab." As Trevor's jaw drops in shock, his father is quick to respond. John quickly takes a cotton swab stick from his shirt pocket and takes a swipe off Trevor's tongue before he races out of the room. As John is heading down the hallway, he yells back towards the room. "It will take three months to examine the details Trevor, but once we are done, I should have figured out what caused Beethoven's deafness. I'll need you to take a fast detox diet for the next week, starting right now. Sorry, this is really important stuff and it can't be missed out on!"
Trevor bangs his head against the headboard three times and painfully shuts his eyes, but a crack of thunder jolts them back open.

*****

In the Waters' Mansion kitchen, Carey is washing dishes. Samantha is perched on a bar stool leaning on the counter. "You really shocked me Sam yesterday. I understand you were crying hysterically, but I thought there was a stranger in my house." Carey says jokingly. "OK, so tell me what's going on."
Samantha is visibly distraught and highly emotional. Holding back the tears, Samantha finally says, "I think that... I think that Cameron might be seeing someone else".

Carey turns around and looks at Samantha in disbelief.

*****
One hour later...
*****
Tracy and Cameron are under the bridge in Mayberry Park.

"What a minute, you're engaged to someone? Who is it?" Tracy impatiently asks Cameron.
Cameron turns around.

"Who is it?! Tell me!" Tracy says, furiously.

"Samantha."

"What?!" Tracy says in terror.

Coming up Tomorrow:
- A confrontation becomes an ultimatum.
- Trevor finds out the tests his father is running might be dangerous.
